Last Saturday, Cardiff City sent a team to Gloucester to take part in the first summer tournament of 2011.
A fun, wet, windy and tiring day was had with essential mini muffins and Krispy Kreme doughnuts helping the recovery between games.
Cardiff City started the morning pool matches with a goal-less draw vs Horfield2, followed by a comfortable victory vs Bristol Uni and finally a 3-all draw vs Oxford City. This placed CCKC 2nd in the morning pool.
The afternoon matches started much better with an easy win against Bristol Badgers. The following match was the day’s first and only loss to Horfield1. CCKC played the Badgers again in the 5th/6th playoff.
City came a very respectable 5th overall. Thanks to Zoe, Elaine, Cheya, Kate, Abi, Rachel, Ramzi, Aidan, Ian R, Ian OS and Stu for taking part.
