Our Teams

Even if you’ve never played this fantastic sport before, you will find a level and commitment that suits you. Anyone can join and play for us, we accept members from age 14+, students and non-students, from all walks of life!

Cyclones  Cyclones is our 1st Team. They compete in England Korfball’s Western Regional League, and have previously competed in the Promo League, reaching the finals on two occasions. Cyclones are the holders of the WRL title two years running, are the current Welsh Champions and have competed in the European Champions League. The team is comprised of the most experienced players in the club, and many players throughout the team’s history have also played for Wales internationally.

Archers  Archers is our 2nd team, and are named in recognition of the club’s historical links to Cardiff Met and the number of students from the university who have played for the team over the years. They currently compete in the upper division of the Welsh National League, and finished the 2023/24 season in 3rd place – the best result for the team so far!

Even when the season is over, the korfball doesn’t stop! We enter teams into various summer tournaments across the country. It’s also the time we try our hand at beach korfball. So whilst we take a break from our regular indoor competitions, there is still plenty to enjoy during the summer months.
