Cardiff City players to represent Wales

The Welsh Korfball league matches for 2015/2016 season are now available on the league page and will be kept upto date throughout the season.

Our first match is against Cardiff University 1 in House of Sport on Saturday 10th October. Supporters and friends welcome.

Start of indoor training

Cardiff City Korfball Club is pleased to announce that we will be training at a new venue  St. David’s College, Cardiff for the 2015/16 season.

International squad member and qualified coach James Wilcox is to return as coach following a year out travelling.

Training sessions will be held on Wednesday evening between 7pm-8.30pm. Starting 9th September. First two sessions for new players are free.

Welsh Korfball Squad open trials

The WKA have announced the appointment of Tom Brady as the new coach for the International Welsh Korfball Squad.

Korflite 2015

Summer is here and we’ll be playing Korfball on Roath Park Recreation Ground on Wednesdays between 7-8pm.

It’s a great way to try Korfball with some fun and friendly matches.

If it’s wet we’ll most likely go for a quiet drink in a pub nearby.

Cardiff City completed the 2015/16 Welsh Korfball League finishing in 3rd position behind Cardiff University 1 and Raptors.

Congratulations to Laura Pacey and Jack Mitchell who were the clubs highest point scorers.

Cardiff City finish the first half of the season at the top of the Welsh Korfball League wining all our matches so far.

IKF European Korfball Championship

Tomorrow Laura Pacey, Julie Prosser and James Wilcox from Cardiff City will travel to Maia in Portugal to play for Wales in the IKF European Korfball Championship 2014.

Wales face the national teams from Poland, Turkey and Serbia in Pool C before play offs between other teams from across Europe.

Tuesday 28 October Poland v Wales 1400

Cardiff Celts debut in the Western Regional League

Cardiff Celts will play their first match of the Western Regional League when they take on Bristol Thunder in Cardiff on Saturday 4th October.

For this season Cardiff City, Cardiff Dragons and Raptors players are forming a combined team in the Western Regional League. They will take on teams from across the South West.

Cardiff City will be represented by Laura Pacey, Julie Prosser, Laura Pacey, Cheya Tyson, Jack Mitchell, James Wilcox and Stuart Wood. They will join players from Cardiff Dragons and Raptors Korfball Club in the Western Regional League.

Supporters welcome, throw off 11am, Talybont Sports Center.
