Annual General Meeting (AGM)
There had been no motions proposed to the AGM by members outside the committee (the deadline for adding items to agenda is the end of 11 June) and so far there were no confirmed nominations for Committee roles. The AGM agenda was discussed; in addition to items proposed in the previous committee meeting and the standard reports from Committee members, it was suggested that there be an item to give members an opportunity to discuss membership fees.
Awards night
It was proposed that the award categories be broadly the same as last year, with the addition of awards for member-nominated team MVPs. Suggestions for additional awards could be made in the Committee WhatsApp group. It was also suggested that next year, the club record statistics for goal assists, with a view to reflecting this contribution in our awards next year. It was also agreed that the contribution of jurors should be acknowledged.
It was suggested that a social activity be planned for after the AGM; Chris Woodhead agreed to prepare a quiz.
Summer tournaments
Rebekah provided an update on plans for summer tournaments; the club had entered teams for Bristol and Leicester. There were currently no plans for a beach korf tournament hosted in Cardiff. There was a suggestion that we could propose organising a local beach korf tournament for Welsh clubs. An action was taken for Chris Roberts to raise this with the chairs of other Welsh clubs.
AOB
There was some discussion around clarifying the club’s refund policy in its finance document, with particular reference to deposits for tournaments and socials. It was suggested that this be put on agenda for the incoming committee elected at the AGM.
It was requested that a social be planned in advance of Awards Night.
The committee approved Rebekah’s request for a small sum of money to make more bags to store and transport korfball posts.
