Teams

Even if you’ve never played this fantastic sport before, you will find a level and commitment that suits you. Anyone can join and play for us, we accept members from age 14+, students and non-students, from all walks of life!

Archers is our recreational and beginners team and complete in the Welsh National League. All Archers matches are played locally in South Wales and they take on Teams based in Cardiff, Newport and Swansea. If you’re just looking to try your hand at korfball or just want to play occasionally when you’re free, then this is the perfect team for you!

Mavericks is our 2nd Team and play in the Western Regional League against tougher opposition from Cardiff, Bristol, Exeter and Oxfordshire. The team is made up of a mix of upcoming talent and veteran players, so if you’ve played Korfball for a while, and want to improve by playing at a higher level, Mavericks is the team to aspire to.

Cyclones is our 1st Team. They compete in the Promo League and the Western Regional League. Cyclones are the holders of the WRL title two years running, are the current Welsh Champions and compete in the European Champions League. The team is comprised of the most experienced players in the club including a number of Welsh internationals.

We also enter mixed teams into various tournaments throughout the season, including some more beginner focused tournaments to get our newer players some valuable experience.

Even when the season is over, the korfball doesn’t stop! We enter teams into various summer tournaments across the country. It’s also the time we try our hand at beach korfball. So whilst we take a break from our regular indoor competitions, there is still plenty to enjoy during the summer months.

History
