Squad: Ramzi Barbir (4) (captain), Max Lloyd (1), Ian O’Sullivan, Matt Hurford, Aidan Dickson, Susan Belfourd  (1), Kat Smith, Elaine Potter, Kate Brewer Zoe Gabica (1).

Cardiff City lined up against a youthful Bearsted team for the first friendly game after the summer break.

Cardiff took first attack but it was Bearsted who took the first attempts at goal.  Ramzi started the scoring with a long shot 6 minutes into the game.  Bearsted replied quickly equal the scores.

Cardiff Tournament great success

After much hard work all the teams were blessed with a fine today for the largest Korfball event ever held in Wales. 

Wildcats won the cup competition against a Big Cats final.  The Flying Dutchmen from the Netherlands took 3rd spot.    Croydon won the plate competition and Lancaster Ligers the spoon.

Korfball on BBC1

Cardiff Tournament this Saturday

We have 20 teams entered the 2007 Cardiff Korfball Summer Tournament making it the biggest ever Korfball event in Wales! 

For teams entering the provisional tournament scheulde, information sheet and directions to Howells school are now available.

The games start at 10am and finish at 5pm.  There will be a BBQ and drinks will be available all day.  

Spectators are welcome.  

We look forward to welcoming you on Saturday.

Don’t do drugs

For the first time in its history, 2 British korfballers have failed drugs tests.  As korfball is being taken increasingly seriously in Wales, it’s important that players realise that they are liable for testing both in and out of competition.  Please be aware that some medications that you might be taking may be on the banned list and you may need to get a Therapeutic Use Exemption - Asthma sufferers in particular may fall into this category.
