With Bristol City unable to field a second team, Cardiff Uni kindly provided some opposition for the seconds, although with most of the Uni side's first team lads on the pitch, it was always going to be tough for the city reserves. A final score of 8-3 does great credit to a side playing with more skill and fluency every game.

In the end it was only some rotten luck with shots not dropping that kept the game from being much closer. Strong rebounding from Holly and newcomer Ian O'Sullivan gave city much more possession than they are used to, and some much improved passing and movement created plenty of chances. First Kay showed her growing confidence to come close with a couple of long range efforts, while Abi and Gwen were most unfortunate to see their close in shots roll out.

First team regular Rachel turned provider on numerous occasions as the Uni's defence was made to work hard to get the ball back. Ian capped an excellent display with two well taken goals, and Aidan showed the firsts how a penalty should be taken, but it was not enough as some top drawer shooting from the Uni's boys would take the game out of City's reach.
