City played their second game in three days at Llys-Talybont on Wednesday against a Cardiff Uni side who comfortably defeated them last time. Setting up with a similar team to the weekend, City were determined to make life harder for this Uni opposition. Some much better scrapping and post play gave city a better base to attack from and it showed. Looking more comfortable in attack, City held the lead a few times in the first half before going in 6-6 at half time. At half time, Uni made three big changes, bringing on Susan Belfourd, Neil Blain and Matt Cook to one end. This move proved decisive, as the new combination worked 3 of the 4 quick goals Uni scored after HT. City continued to dig in, and Dan and Cally were both unlucky not to score with short efforts. Despite a late comeback, the final score was 9-11. Also notable was the continuing improvement of Trisha, Kate and James who all looked genuine units in the team, and the improved balance of scoring across the side Cardiff City will host Bristol City in their last game, and will hope this can still effect the title and claim their first win. Finally, big thanks to Terry and Susan for sharing the for
reffing us.
