Bristol City v Cardiff City

Cardiff travelled to archrivals Bristol City determined to start the season as they meant to continue. However, Bristol had the same idea.

The home team started the game the much brighter, and were soon 3-1 up, and had City struggling. However, once City settled into their attacking pattern, the game started to swing back to them. Harry and Rachel were chief orchastrators moving the ball around with purpose and pace, and notching a goal each in a late in the first half to drag the score back to 5-5.

It was a half Bristol wanted to end and Cardiff didn't, as the break stunted some of City's momentum.

The second half went much like the first, with Bristol the stronger early, and City later, with each side having a dominant attacking division which meant one end for each team was in defence for the majority.

For City, Taff was leaping all over the court, and Susan was solid as ever despite playing with a broken finger. Also at this end, Midge and Rob registered superb clean sheets against very physical opposition. Whilst Bristol's long shooting was putting this division to the sword, Harry and Josh were probing away to great effect, whilst Kay and the outstanding Rachel were working their girls.

With one minute to go, it seemed that the coaches had blanked each other out at 11-11, but Bristol refused to let the game go, and dropped two late late long shots to win 13-11.
