City players debut for Wales at Home Nations
Welsh korfball came of age in early July 2005 as the national team was born.
Boasting 6 Cardiff City players in the line-up, Wales entered the 2005 Home
Nations competition in Twickenham, London. While the English team, comprising
the best talent in the British Premier league proved much too strong, Wales
were able to claim a confident win over the Scots and a surprise victory over
an Irish side featuring plenty of national league talent.

Five Cardiff City first teamers make the Welsh squad. Congrats to Susan,
Kristina, Ceri, Harry and, er, me! Stars of Cardiff Uni's campaign, Grace and
Ramzi also made the cut and all will be stepping out for Wales at the
international event in July. In addition, coach Terry Matthews will be running
the team on the day.
