Llew Cox

The incomparable Dr Cox was a starting partner in the club, and added a lot of the initial cash and impetus. He is now safely as far away from a Korfball court as he can possibly be (New York). A intelligent player at all student levels Dr Cox was guaranteed to make his marker work for their money. Also a very witty, sensible and not at all scary drunk man. He has discovered the meaning of life but didn't bother to write it down. (Not in a way we can understand anyhow!)

Rob Cooper

Alas, Rob has moved off down to Swansea to play with his hang-glider where he can invent new and interesting ways to hurt himself (charging into women was not enough.). City will miss his electric pace and strong collecting. There once was a club in Swansea you know Rob? Hehe.

Clive Minshull

Clive has only played for us once (and that was last season), but we all like him anyway since he drove our posts all the way from London when we couldn't be arsed to go get them ourselves. He plays for Woking (with Joy Andrews - another ex Cardiff Uni superstar) and seems to like marking Terry, who will happily let Clive run past him, as long as he can take all the penalties Clive concedes. His refereeing leaves much to be desired.

Jon Howey

Jon is our contact in Holland and is usually kind enough to take us drinking when we go and embarrass ourselves by playing dutch teams. Having said that, we did beat Jon while he was playing for Erasmus once. Hehe. A former BSDS captain, Jon is possibly the second most competitive man ever to put on a Cardiff Uni shirt. Still has a bad taste in clothes.

Dan "Can't be a*sed" Greenwood

Left us to go back up north. Dan's 'humourous' contributions to trainng sessions will be sorely missed. Dan's exit leaves several of the girlies brokenhearted (for a minute or two at least) - but hey, that's one less first team selection headache :-)

Tricia "No Fish Jokes" Herring

As Cardiff's best "didn't know what korfball was before she started with us" player, Trish is a pure tribute to Terry's coaching - probably why she's now in Southampton.

Kate "Bruiser" Marriott

We lost Kate back to her beloved hockey side right at the point where some of Terry's coaching was starting to show some effect. She still holds the record for most bruises picked up in one match and is justifiably proud.

Elaine Hutchings (#18)

With a job in the big smoke leading her away, Elaines twilight summer has been another of the quality we have come to expect. Increasing vocal as the Captain, Elaine has been seen putting several referees to rights this summer! We wish her well, and know whatever club she joins will be gaining a quality player.

Greg "Not my better Half" Hutchings

Actually a rugby referee and lives in Nottingham. Has never attended one of our training sessions, but is so regularly dragged to tournaments by Elaine that he is among our most regular players.

Helen Eardley

Brians other half also took up the mantle of playing for us at the Nomads tournament, and was very polite in discussing it with us afterwards. A former NL league player with Nomads, Helen came to a training session one night and rained down long shots that our girls (and boys) are still discussing. One day our girls will play like this. Promise!

Ed Regan

Ed is the all action president of Oxford Brookes Uni, who has graced our colours on the odd occasion. Cardiff born Ed is also a member of the Counties team. In a very bizzare twist of fate was in the same Brass band at school as Rachel and Rob Davies. We are scared (though not of Ed).

Michelle Barlow

Yet another ex-Cardiff Uni star, and provider of many girl goals in Taff's BUSA bronze medal team of '97. Now an occasional player on account of living in Coventry, but guested for us all day at the Nottingham tournament and needs to move back to South Wales dammit!!!

Cat Mills

Social dazzler previously of Sheffield Uni, and kind enough to guest for us at the Nottingham tournament when her own team bailed. Cat stands for everything that's good about UK korfball, partying, drinking and having a damn good time on and off court! Top lass!

Will Browne

Ex-Cardiff Uni legend who introduced Taff to the beautiful game - so without him our club probably wouldn't be here. Unlikely to retire from Korfball while his legs still work and the ultimate korf-mercenary. It is our aim to get him guest for us once a season.

Tony Fripp

Exeter korf guru and occasional ref of our games with Bristol. Tony is best known for having the nerve to argue back with Midge when most refs would have been cowering behind a yellow card. Here he is practising for his next drinking game with us.

Gareth Price (#19)

Gareths lay off with a wrist injury has seen his spot as uber-sub taken away. Then he moved house and thanks to a slump in the market can't move back. A likely story ;-) We look forward to his return one day. Maybe.

Cally Procter (#34)

Now calling it a day after an injury list Bryan Robson would be proud of, Cally is free from aches and pains and will keep it that way as long as she can stay on the sidelines!

Becky Boston (#23)

Not really sure why Becky called it quits, but the boys miss her and her house parties....

Dave Walker (#99)

If Rachel has a dislike for playing outdoors, Dave has a practically vampiric aversion to playing out in the sunshine. Is now helping set up a Rugby League club in Wales and is too important at work to get away on time to train with us so unlikely to be back for a while.

Brian Carswell (#26)

Briefly head of coaching at Cardiff City when back spasms and family commitments allowed. A shame we couldn't persuade him to come more often, but Tenby is 75 miles away...!
