This past Sunday (28/02/10), Ceri Jones and Ramzi Barbir refereed the university’s second team Nationals, held in Tal-y-bont, Cardiff. The aim was to get assessed by veteran referee Dave Bond and hopefully pass their practical qualification.

An away korfball tournament never seems quite right without the un-holy start to the day; Sunday 7th March was no exception. Cardiff City’s first team and defending champions, the Cyclones, set off to Oxford to compete in the Regionals;

CCKC Teams Announced

At the start of the season, the three City teams have been announced by chair Gubby.

Last year’s team names have been kept and new amazing logos created. Players have been slightly re-shuffled as our aim is to hopefully have three teams of equal strength and ability.

WKA Beginners Day - Saturday 19th September

This is the perfect opportunity to find out more about Korfball and give the sport a try.

WKA Gala Night

To launch the new season in style the WKA are holding a black tie gala night on Saturday 19th September.

The night will include three course meal, wine, awards ceremony and a disco!

Venue: Grape and Olive, Weedle Road, Cardiff
Time: 1900 - Midnight
Price: £25

Croydon Tournament

Cyclones players decided to enter the Croydon tournament to get some game-time as a team. The first worry of all outdoor tournaments is the weather and today was no exception. Rain was forcast but nothing fell from the sky, in fact if was perfect korfball weather. Second worry is getting a team together. With the help of Steve and Kim Jones, Cyclones not only had 8 great players but also two coaches to help us out.
