Keep up to date with how our teams are getting on...

Cardiff City & Met have teams for people of all abilities to enjoy korfball.
Even if you’ve never played this fantastic sport before, you will find a level and commitment that suits you. Anyone can join and play for us, we have members from age 14-40, students and non-students, from all walks of life!

Archers is our recreational team. If you’re just looking to try your hand at korfball or play occasionally when you’re free, then this is the perfect team for you!

Mavericks play in the Welsh National League and have won it two years running! There are a few away games for Mavs but the matches mostly take place in Cardiff. The team is pushing for promotion to the regional level, but this is still a team for developing players. Mavericks tends to be a mix of upcoming talent and some veteran players, so it’s a good place to improve and enjoy playing.

Cyclones compete in the Western Regional League. This team competes against tougher competition from clubs in Bristol, Exeter, Southampton, Oxford, and Farnborough. It takes more experience and commitment to play at this level but even so we often have players in their first season making their debut for Cyclones!

Cardiff Met is our student team competing in BUCS. These events take place in the form of tournament style competitions throughout the academic year. The first event is a Preliminary round usually held in Cardiff. Only full-time students attending Cardiff Metropolitan University can represent Cardiff Met. If you’re studying elsewhere you may be able to represent your own university if they have a team – our club has had players who’ve studied at lots of universities besides Cardiff Met, such as Swansea, Cardiff, Bristol, and Bath.

Summer is a social time for korfball. We run recreational summer leagues and attend tournaments around the country. It’s also the time we try our hand at beach korfball. So whilst we take a break from our regular indoor competitions, there is still plenty to enjoy during the summer months.
