Cardiff City travelled to Birmingham this past Saturday (4th Dec) to play in a competition initiated by B’ham City korfball club where development and second team players get a chance to play in a small round robin tournament. Teams with a wide range of ability were present; from complete beginners with no match experience to second team players.

Cardiff played four 30min long matches throughout the day. Starting against the hosts B’ham City, the match ended in a 2-all draw. Next up were Milton Keynes and CCKC tasted their first defeat of the day; the game ending 3-4. However, the score did not reflect how well CCKC played in that match.
The last two matches were against more inexperienced teams and Cardiff City easily won these two matches 8-1 (vs Kings Heath) and 5-2 (we think) (vs B’ham Uni).

CCKC finished 3rd after the first day of matches and Julie clinched joint highest scorer. Another two days of round robin matches will be organised by B’ham City in Feb/Mar and June.
